Product Review: fruit of the earth 100 % aloe vera gel

I bought this product last week and it the best gel I have used so far. I was skeptical about it at first because it is also a body cream, but it holds really well. I love this product already, i cant wait my weekend wash to add it to my Kimmay tube leave-in(will be doing a review of that later).
I will recommend this product to anyone looking for a good natural gel with soft hold and does flake.

Hair Update: hair length

Hello,
I finally got my weave out and I must say, am really impressed with my new length. I will be doing a length check over the weekend, I cant wait. I can see the difference between my hair in this style back in May;

and today;

I guess my goal of waist length by the end of 2014 is possible, with protective styles and ultimate care for my hair I can achieve it. I will be trying protective with my hair as opposed to wigs and weave, let see how much length I can retain by 4 months(December) time. I should be shoulder length by then.

SN: New Stuff!!!

Went to Grand square(mart)to buy bread and while wondering around the store, as I usually do. I came across ACV(Apple Cider Vinegar), I was so excited. I have been looking for it for awhile now(i have very porous hair). I can't wait to get this weave out and try it on my hair. I will be giving a review as soon as I try it.

For those who don't know Apple Cider Vinegar, it is an acidic hair rinse use to close the cuticles down to help in moisture retention. You carry out your wash as normal and when you are done pour the acv rinse, leave for a few seconds and rinse. The rinse consists of 1/4 acv to 2 cups cool water.

till then, stay cool

Believe it or not. I love her hair and definitely her music too. She give me inspiration, can wait until I a head full of gorgeous locks like her's.

UPDATE: weave regimen

Weave regimen
1. Applicator bottle to shampoo hair in the shower only at least once a week.
3. Moisturize scalp 2-3x a week with leave in spritz and oil to seal. I do this line by line.
4. Keep weave in for one month only, taking it out by August 8.
6. Deep condition after taking out weaves
7. Sleep on satin/silk pillowcase or in a silk scarf

I hope at the end of one month am able to retention my length with no damage done to my hair.

Product review: Organic Root Stimulator (ORS) Replenishing conditioner

My very first review :). I used Organic Root Stimulator (ORS) Replenishing conditioner over the weekend and it was great. My hair felt moisturized, soft and silky. And it smells sooo good. The essential ingredients including olive oil, silk proteins and sweet orange oil provide the ultimate conditioning experience,leaving the hair refreshed, and restored with natural softness and shine.

And they are absolutely right,love, love, love it...

hair and workplace…

I did my bc last year September after I left the university, then I wore my hair out in twa, in November I got kinky twists till December . I started a new job in December and by February I decides to start wearing my natural hair to work, it didn’t turn out well, the comments, the looks, the jokes, it really just got to me. I wore my natural hair till march but got tired of the comments. I have very thin fine hair and styling is a challenge. I tried
Curly fro

Flat twist out

Updo

I got good review for the updo bun but the gel and brush daily was telling on my fragile hair.
Since then I have not wore my hair out am kind of wait for it to grow out. I know TWA is one of the best times in natural hair, you get to experiment with all kind of stuff but I can get a style that works for my me and my environment.
i will really appreciate your thoughts

thanks Dammie

protective style again!!!

wearing my wig for next two weeks. and going to take of my hair well;
- moisturizes morning and night then seal with oil
- bagging at night
- wash, deep condition, detangled and flat twist on the weekend
- massage scalp with Castor oil

at the end of two weeks i hope to see improvements.

thanks dammie
